The right fit
We match the level, format and instructor to the student's current needs.
About us
We created Kuźnia for students who want to study regularly, understand their schoolwork, ask challenging questions and develop their interests in mathematics, physics or computer science.
Why we do this
Students may come to us with a specific need: preparing for a competition or Olympiad, catching up or getting ready for their next lesson or test. Each is a good starting point.
We want students to understand how to reach an answer, as well as the answer itself. We strengthen foundations, introduce methods and leave room for independent attempts. This makes progress last beyond a single test.
Our principles
We match the level, format and instructor to the student's current needs.
The instructor helps students find their way while leaving them the most valuable part of the work.
Groups and events connect people who motivate one another and share ideas.
We publish problems, practice contests and solutions from many of our initiatives for free in the Kompendium.
Founders
Together, they develop Kuźnia, organise events, build the teaching team and shape its educational programmes.
Meet the Kuźnia teamSupport and partnerships
Jane Street is Kuźnia's ongoing sponsor. Partners of selected mini PreOM and PreOM editions have included Stanisław Staszic High School No. 14 in Warsaw, the University of Warsaw's Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics (MIM UW), and its Faculty of Physics (FUW).
Many of our instructors graduated from Staszic's experimental mathematics classes, known as “matex”. This gives us a good understanding of the school's curriculum, pace and individual teachers' approaches.
